At Benify, the safety of our people—and ensuring your project is completed safely—is our top priority. Everything else follows.

At Benify, the safety of our people—and ensuring your project is completed safely—is our top priority. Everything else follows.

Over the years, Benify has grown into one of the largest roofing contractors in the nation. We’ve expanded our divisions and added new locations, but most importantly, we’ve welcomed many individuals who have become like family. Taking care of our team means making sure they return home safely every day.

To uphold this commitment, we established a dedicated safety team tasked with setting the standard for safety across all our projects—whether it’s a residential home or a commercial facility. We’re proud of this team and deeply grateful for their ongoing efforts and leadership.

Below, you’ll find our 26 Safety Fundamentals, aligned with our 26 Company Fundamentals. These principles guide our daily decisions both on and off the job site, fostering a safer environment for every business, person, and trade partner we encounter.

Thank you to the entire Benify Safety Team—your work makes everything we do possible.

Benify’s Safety Fundamentals

  • Always be aware of safe work practices and procedures
  • Report all incidents immediately
  • Always use a spotter if walking backwards
  • Cover your teammate’s back
  • Plan for overhead protection
  • Provide safe and secure access
  • Use the correct ladder—and use it properly
  • Ensure proper fire protection is in place
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Be mentally and physically prepared for work
  • Inspect job sites regularly for hazards
  • Conduct yourself professionally at all times
  • Use proper lifting techniques to avoid injury
  • Never smoke on a roof
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Choose the right gloves for hand protection
  • Always inspect before you connect
  • Let equipment cool before refueling
  • Only trained operators may use equipment
  • Stretch before you start—don’t move a muscle until you do
  • Know the hazards of any chemical you’re using
  • Stay vigilant about your personal health
  • Factor in the weather conditions for the day
  • Always identify, evaluate, and control fall hazards on site
  • Ensure 100% fall protection: use warning lines, guardrails, PFAs, and covers
  • You are responsible for inspecting your personal fall arrest system (PFA) daily

These fundamentals are core to our safety culture at Benify—guiding every task, every day.
